SHORE CLINCHES 39TH STRAIGHT


Shore clinched its 39th straight division championship by beating MaterDei  10-0.  Senior Brenna Rescigno scored 4 times bringing her season total to 25 as the Blue Devils shutout the Seraphs behind the goaltending of freshman Shannon Johnson and junior Meg Garrigal. It was Shores 7th shutout on the year.

Aileen Johnson added three goals, Allegra Mango added 2 goals and sophomore Hannah Barreca added a goal to bring Shores total to 79 while only allowing 3 in the first ten games.  Rachel Chavez added 2 assists  while Rescigno, Katie Cosentino and Mango all chipped in one assist apiece.

Shore outshot Mater Dei 25 to 5 with Shannon Johnson recording all 5 saves, including one spectacular over the head stick save while lying on the ground.

Shore has one more conference game before it can turn its sights on defending  the SCT crown. Seeding for the SCT is Tuesday night. First round games start Friday and the round of 16 will commence on the 20th and 21st.

Go seniors   HUNT THEM DOWN...BE LEGENDARY
